Jessie has written and directed shorts for over a decade and had her most recent short Billy Blaze and documentary feature Before They Were Dubz shown at the British Urban Film Festival (of which she is now on the board).
Before They Were Dubz - which features archive footage of the band NDubz before they were famous - is also now on sale at major outlets.
She has made over twenty shorts and has also worked on various friends’ projects, including camerawork on an E4 production – Mayhem Makers – and makes ‘films in a day’ with kids, where she makes inspiring shorts, from inception to edit, in a day.
Jessie wrote Coming Up with Arlene Dignam after they both realised they had parallel ideas for a story and it will be her feature film directing debut.
Jessie has also been lucky enough to write about films and filmmakers for over seventeen years as a broadcast and print film journalist and has travelled the world visiting sets, checking out locations and interviewing actors, directors and producers.
She has written for everyone from The People, Empire magazine to the Huffington Post and was the Daily Mirror DVD critic for eleven years and appears on behind the scenes segments on DVDs as a film expert and writes travel features linked to film releases.
